Fundamentals of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Training
Fundamentals of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Training
Class available live online
“SRE is what happens when you ask a software engineer to design an operations team.” – Benjamin Treynor Sloss, Google.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is Google’s way of making technology more reliable. Developing an effective technology solution is only part of the picture; it also has to run durably and reliably over the long term. This next-gen virtual training course provides an introduction as to what is Site Reliability Engineering — the breakthrough approach to IT operations and development as well as what it means to be a Site Reliability Engineer. SRE means both: the practice of Site Reliability Engineering and the role of being a Site Reliability Engineer. Our subject matter experts will walk you through the fundamental principles, processes, and practices that make SRE the unique practice as well as a highly sought after role that it is, positioning you to make major contributions in any industry. This class is pure information with no certification exam to stress over at the end.

Site Reliability Engineer Training
Google itself says, “Site Reliability Engineering is an emerging IT service management (ITSM) framework.” Many people who write about SRE as a concept tend to put it on a continuum beginning with having an Agile mindset and approach, incorporating and including DevOps concepts, and adding SRE concepts as the capstone to this spectrum.
This course will discuss topics and concepts such as:
• What is Site Reliability Engineering?
• What is the role of the Site Reliability Engineer?
• How does Site Reliability Engineering interact with and complement other disciplines, frameworks and platforms such as DevOps, Agile, ITSM and ITIL 4?
Our online Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) training course focuses on how an SRE synergizes an organization’s larger IT operations and development teams through deployment, configuration management, change enablement, release and deployment, monitoring, metrics, and other key practices. With next-gen virtual training, expert instructors, and white-glove service, you’ll be well-equipped to understand this highly strategic business function.

"I liked that the training was dynamic – that it went beyond lectures to include hands-on activities and group work to solidify the information our employees received. The best thing about this whole experience has been how the training has transformed us as a company, and we’re still going through that transformation. If I had to rate the experience of working with Beyond20, I’d give them an 11 out of 10. They were invested in our business and what we were trying to do right from the start – and we’ve had great success as a result."
Debbie L., Director of HR
“It was huge for Board of Pensions (BOP) to start speaking the same language, have a common understanding, be equipped to drive culture change, and change everyone’s thinking. Now, the team is creating something together."
Nick , Assistant Director, Service Desk
"One important factor that makes Beyond20 a great organization is that the instructors work as consultants to organizations both in the private and public sector. The instructors have an excellent command of the material and have real-world experience with designing and implementing these principles. With their background, they can adapt discussion to a particular client and help students understand concepts based on how they fit into their organizations.”
Lucinda F., Manager, IT Field Operations
"The instructor knew his stuff! The materials were well designed and the course was well paced and very appropriate for our group."
This live, instructor-led class is three days. Rather than self-paced learning, we offer structured, interactive training that enables candidates to understand the SRE content in greater context.
We’ve designed our live virtual ITIL training to be smooth and painless! A few days before class, you will receive an email with details on how to access our virtual training room, and physical courseware will be delivered to your shipping address. We find that physical books and other supplementary materials aid in the learning process, as you can take notes, doodle, do whatever you need to help you retain the information.
Our virtual classes are instructed in a way that mirrors the learning experience you would get from an in-person training course. This way, students remain fully engaged and the information sticks! Our virtual training courses are packed with interactive whiteboards, breakout rooms, virtual sticky note walls, and more to help ensure you learn essential skills and succeed on the exam.
We understand that your goal is to learn effectively and get certified in one shot. After all, certification training can be a substantial investment. As such, it’s critical to us that you learn from someone who will help you retain key concepts and get you across the finish line efficiently.
But at the same time, who wants to take a boring class? If we’re going to spend a lot of time looking at screens, the material should at least be engaging. That’s why we’re hyper-focused on bringing variety to your virtual training experience. People learn differently, so we use several methods to teach concepts throughout the day.

Next-Gen Virtual Training
Depending on the course, this can include interactive whiteboards, breakout rooms, virtual sticky note walls, and more. We take this approach not only because it's more fun than simply memorizing terms, but because it works.
From the instant that you first reach out to us with a quick question, to that glorious moment when you learn you’ve earned the certification, our job is to make sure that every interaction you have with us is a positive one. If you look at our hundreds of Google-verified reviews, you’ll see that we take it seriously! Beyond20 is not a risky choice.
